LAKE MACQUARIE COUNCIL GRANTED $75,000 TO CLEAN UP ILLEGAL DUMPING

Lake Macquarie Council has received a helping hand to combat illegal dumping.
The Environment Protection Authority has granted the council $75,000 to clean up trouble sites at Barnsley, Edgeworth and Awaba.
Fences and gates will be installed, along with extra signs, to deter dumpers.
Council says the money will assist the Hunter Central Coast RID Squad, which has issued illegal dumpers with $260,000 in fines in the last 12 months.
