BIGGER AND BETTER FOR KING OF THE MOUNTAIN

With less than a month to go until the annual King of the Mountain fun run, entries are now open and preparations underway, with organisers hoping to make this year’s event the best yet.
More than 500 participants- of all ages and fitness levels- are expected to flock to Laurieton’s North Brother Mountain for a 5 kilometre uphill race.
“Last year we had competitors who hadn’t even seen their first birthday yet and on the other spectrum we had people in their 70s and everybody got up the course and had a great day.”
Prize money has also increased this year to $1 500 for serious runners and $2 000 dollar travel voucher for a lucky door prize.
