World ratings leader Matt Wilkinson says he’ll head to early Tahiti, following his early J-Bay exit, sent packing in the third round.
“I’m feeling a lot more confident in big waves this year, I don’t know what’s really happened, maybe I have grown up a bit. I’m going to go practise, get my boards all ready and uh paddle into big tubes hopefully”
The departure was a big blow to his world title hopes, with his nearest rivals both reaching the quarters.
