While the Tamworth Sports Dome today hosted NAIDOC week celebrations, organisers were also busy setting up for tomorrow’s Festival of Abilities.
The outside courts were being prepared with specialised games and activities as the event goes into its second year.
“We’ve got wheelchair sports New South Wales; we’ve got face painting, cupcake making, dancing, singing. It’s a real festival feel and it’s about bringing the whole community together as one.”
The aim of the festival is to generate further awareness and understanding of living with a disability.
Activities kick off from 10am tomorrow.
