Star Parramatta Eels winger, and former Tingha junior, Bevan French is on the verge of equalling the NRL rookie try scorer’s record in tonight’s match against the Roosters.
He’s touched down seven times in his first four games, and if he can cross the stripe tonight, he’ll become just the third player to score eight tries in their first five appearances in the top grade.
The 20 year old would join current Australian rugby union superstar Israel Folau, and Melbourne’s Suliasu Vunivalu in achieving the feat.
French is yet to be kept off the score sheet since his promotion to first grade.
