PEOPLE CHARGED OVER ELANDS CANNABIS SET UP TO STAND TRIAL

Five people, charged following the alleged discovery of a sophisticated hydroponic cannabis set up north west of Taree, have been committed to trial.

It’s also alleged police found an eight-year-old boy locked in a shed, when they searched the home at Elands in December last year.

One of the accused males, pleaded guilty today to one of his charges.

All five remain in custody and will stand trial via videolink at Taree’s District Court on August 17th.
