Australian Diamonds coach Lisa Alexander has paid Brunswick Byron netball club a surprise visit – hosting a training session for juniors before presenting the club with $20,000.
“The turnout’s been fantastic. We’ve had lots of kids come. They all wanted to see Lisa and Lisa’s had a little game with them all.”
The grant, provided by ANZ netball nation, will be used to build an all-weather shelter.
“Particularly when it’s really busy, there’s lots and lots of girls and parents and everyone. So it’s going to be fantastic for them.”
