A 33 year old man has been charged after allegedly sexually assaulting a 29 year old woman, at an East Ballina beach yesterday.
Witnesses chased the man following the alleged attack, before he was arrested a short time later.
He faced Lismore Local Court today where he was refused bail, and his matter was adjourned until August.
