UPDATE: MAN CHARGED FOLLOWING GOLD COAST ATM ROBBERY AT KNIFE-POINT
UPDATE: As a result of their investigations into this robbery, police took a man into custody in Surfers Paradise overnight.
A 32-year-old man has been charged with deprivation of liberty, armed robbery, and entering a dwelling with intent.
He is due to appear in court on Monday, July 4.

A 50-year-old man has been threatened with a knife and forced to withdraw cash from an ATM on the Gold Coast this morning.
About 7am, the man was inside his residence at a caravan park on Broadbeach Nerang Road in Carrara, when he was approached by a man armed with a knife, demanding he drive them to the nearest ATM.
The pair drove to an Ashmore shopping centre where the robber withdrew cash before returning to the vehicle and forcing the victim to drive to a service station.
Shortly after, the accused fled on foot with the stolen cash. No one was injured during the incident.
Police want to speak to a man described as being Caucasian in appearance, aged in his late 30s or early 40s.
He’s about 160cm tall with a very slim build, fair complexion and short hair.
He was wearing a yellow long-sleeved jumper, dark long pants and a green beanie.
