YOUNG GIRL MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN KENYA
Eight year old Zara Matthews is testament you can make a difference at any age.
The St. Philips Narara student has spearheaded a campaign to raise money for Africa with her “Kenya Help” fundraiser.
The event is now in its second year and was prompted after school principal Michelle Kelly returned from missionary work in the poverty stricken country.
Hearing the story inspired Zara to take action.
“I felt sorry for for the kids in Kenya and I wanted to do something to help,” she said.
The year three student hopes by the time she graduates she can raise $50,000 for the cause.
