TONI COLLETTE FILMING IN MAITLAND FOR NEW PROJECT

A slice of Hollywood came to the Hunter today, with Australian actress Toni Collette in Maitland filming for a new project.

While keen to shy away from our cameras, covering her face with an umbrella, Collette spent the day at the historic Maitland Gaol – which was closed to the public.

The glitz and glamour of the silver screen took over the quiet street – with cast members dressed in prison greens, production crew and the costume department bustling between the gaol and several trailers.

While the project is said to be top secret, we can reveal the Golden Globe winning actress’ latest work is said to be ‘highly controversial.’
