FORMER DOG OWNER PLEADS GUILTY TO ANIMAL CRUELTY

The former owner of four border collies, found with wounded noses, has pled guilty to animal cruelty charges.
RSPCA staff discovered the neglected animals, during a 2015 visit to Woodford Island man James Connelly’s property.
Muzzles, fitted to the dogs, caused the injuries and made it nearly impossible for them to bark or eat.
53-year-old Connelly didn’t appear in Grafton Local Court on Monday – instead he pleaded guilty through his solicitor.
He’ll be sentenced next month.
