Nominations are open for the 17th annual Port Macquarie-Hastings Sports Awards and Wayne Richards Sporting Scholarship.
$7,000 will be awarded to recipients across eight categories, to help rising athletes pursue their dreams.
Previous winners include Commonwealth boxing gold medalist Shelley Watts, and wheelchair rugby champion Ryley Batt.
“It just flags you know the time and commitment given by their family and friends and what they have actually achieved,” Rotary Port Macquarie Sunrise President Trish Affleck-Mooney said.
Entries close September 30.
“Go to the Port Macquarie-Hastings website, there’s an online application, it’s really simple, put your application in and you never know, you might get somewhere,” Port Macquarie-Hastings Mayor Peter Besseling said.
