Lismore Base Hospital staff called on council to reduce the cost of on street parking in surrounding streets, during last night’s meeting.
Two motions to do so, however, were both voted down
Several councillors argued rates for on street and carpark spaces must remain the same, otherwise nobody will use the recently completed multi-storey carpark.
The issue is expected to be revisited at next week’s budget meeting.
