TRAINS DELAYED AS CRASH CLOSES LINE WEST OF SINGLETON

There’s delays for those travelling by train through the Hunter Valley this afternoon, with urgent repairs underway at Glennies Creek, west of Singleton.
Important track infrastructure was damaged when a truck carrying water crashed at a railway crossing on Glennies Creek Road at around 7:30 this morning.
Authorities are working to repair the damage, with the line expected to be closed for some time.
The driver of the truck, a 55-year-old man from Singleton, wasn’t injured.
