MAN ACCUSED OF BITING POLICE OFFICER GRANTED CONDITIONAL BAIL

A 36-year-old man will re-appear in Gosford Local Court next week, accused of assaulting two police officers earlier in the week.
The man is charged with seven offences including breach of bail in relation to the incident, which took place at Gosford Railway Station on Monday morning.
Police were called to the station after reports a man was threatening staff and had kicked off the mirror of a car in the carpark, with it alleged he became aggressive towards officers upon arrival.
He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, when on release it’s alleged he bit a senior constable on the hand.
He’s due back in court on Thursday, having been granted conditional bail.
