STATE GOVERNMENT SELLS CONTENTIOUS SITE
The state government has reportedly pocketed $250,000 for a contentious site near a wetlands reserve in Port Stephens – according to Member for Port Stephens Kate Washington.
The six hectare site, which borders the Mambo Wetlands Reserve, was put to an online auction this week, despite more than 11,000 people signing a petition to stop the sale.
It’s not known who the new owner is.
