COAL MONUMENT RETURNED TO NEWCASTLE EAST END

Newcastle’s connection with coal runs deep, and that history is being celebrated as the city welcomes back a monument to its early industrial days.

A stone memorial has been returned to the east end after undergoing major restoration.
