Off season recruit Devante Clut has finally arrived in Newcastle, after trying to transfer here from the Roar earlier this year.
“I did want to leave in January and Brisbane wanted me to stay. The Jets is the best place for me right now, I really believe that.”
The 20-year-old grew up in Western Sydney and is a childhood friend of fellow Jet, Radovan Pavicevic.
This season they’ll be competing for a spot in attack.
“I think I’m most effective as a number 10, that’s where I’d like to play, but I have to prove myself to the coach.”
