After riding some of the biggest waves on offer at Newcastle point yesterday, local bodyboarding ace, Garth McGregor, was today charging bombs at Cronulla’s Shark Island Invitational.
Despite finishing fourth in his opening heat, McGregor remains in the hunt at the prestigious event.
Five surfers with the highest three-wave totals over the two days of competition go through to the final.
McGregor’s prowess has been on show for all to see during the recent swell event in Newcastle.
