BREATH TEST RESULTS IN DRUG AND FIREARM CHARGES IN GRAFTON

A man has been charged with drug and firearm offences, after being pulled over for a breath test on the state’s north coast.

Just before 2 o’clock on Thursday afternoon, police were conducting breath testing on Armidale Road, Coutts Crossing, 20km south of Grafton.

During one of the tests, a male driver had his vehicle searched and police allegedly found an amount of cannabis, methyl-amphetamine, and a double-barrel shotgun.

The 29-year-old man was subsequently charged with drug and firearm offences.

He will appear at court on Monday 18 July.
