REGIONAL DRIVERS TARGETED IN NEW CAMPAIGN

The New South Wales government and police have launched a traffic safety campaign targeting regional drivers.

This year alone, 170 people have died on New South Wales roads.

“This is a very important appeal from us for everybody to work with us, to share the responsibility of reducing road trauma.”

Drivers are being urged to take weather conditions into consideration, not just the speed limit.

“And I say time and time again that you have to put your brain into gear before you put your car into gear, the onus and the responsibility sits with you to save yourself and not to kill others behind the wheel.”
