HEAVY RAIN HELPS TO FILL DAMS ACROSS NORTH-WEST

Heavy rain across North West catchments have dam levels rising for the first time in months.
Chaffey Dam’s capacity has risen by 1% following a weekend of decent rain.
Quipolly Dam also saw major inflows.
It’s now sitting at 54% capacity.
And water was gushing from the Gwydir River and straight into Copeton Dam, increasing its capacity to 6.8%.
