EDUCATORS DEMAND FULL GONSKI FUNDING

The Education Union claims far north coast schools will be among the hardest hit if the federal government doesn’t fully fund the Gonski reforms.
Teachers say several schools, including Casino Public, have noticed incredible improvements since receiving the money.
“They’ve been able to put on additional staff… To make sure every child who needs that help can get that help.”
“If we cannot secure these funds, then it’s those programs helping those children that will be at risk.”
The union want both sides of politics to commit to funding the six year scheme in full.
