BYRON BAY BLASTS LENNOX AWAY

Byron Bay has demolished Lennox Head in round four of Far North Coast Rugby Union.

Lennox was never really in it – after trailing 26-nil at the break, Jono Huddy crossed in the second half to score the side’s only try.

At the other end, Jack Cooke topped Byron’s try-scoring list, crossing twice, while John Laughlin nailed four conversions.

Come full time, the visitors finished a whopping 33 points clear.

In other games, Lismore outclassed Casino 27 points to 19, while Wollongbar Alstonville prevailed by three against Southern Cross University, and Ballina held off a late charge from Bangalow.
