Tamworth Regional Playground has been crowned “Best Major Playspace in New South Wales” at last night’s Parks and Leisure Australia awards night.
The $2.2 million facility was officially opened in December, and boasts one of the biggest slides in the southern hemisphere.
Council is now in the running for the national award, which will be announced in October.
