PEATS RIDGE ACCUSED GRANTED BAIL

A 24-year-old man, who was behind the wheel of a car that crashed into a power pole killing two people on the Central Coast, has been granted conditional bail.

Muhammad Manok fronted Gosford Local Court today, charged with dangerous and negligent driving occasioning death.

It follows the incident on Friday night where Manok crashed a Toyota Hilux Dual-cab at Peats Ridge, killing a 63-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy, who were passengers.

Two other passengers, a 28-year old woman and a 15-year-old boy, were treated by paramedics before being taken to Gosford Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The case will be heard for a mention in July.
