CARRINGTON KING OF THE NEMINGHA TO NUNDLE
It was a tight finish to today’s Nemingha to Nundle 100km bike race, with around 70 cyclists taking on the challenge.
With handicaps in place, the first group was handed a 45-minute head start.
The final four caught the main group with 10 kilometres to go, and Mitch Carrington took out the race for a third time after the bunch sprint.
“The tactical side of it is massive. A lot of people underestimate that, I think, how much the tactics play in the result at the end.”
Fraser Ashford posted the fastest time of two hours and 23 minutes, after starting from scratch.
