He’s the priest on a special mission from the Pope.
Father Richard Shortall or ‘Wheels’ as he’s known, has been travelling around the Hunter as part of the Catholic Church’s Year of Mercy – spending time in churches where there’s no resident priest.
Father Shortall will head to St Lawrence in Broadmeadow tomorrow.
