A member of the Nomads Outlaw Motorcycle Gang will face court next week, after police allegedly located a gun and ammunition during a vehicle search in Newcastle.
Just after 3.30 this morning, police stopped a black ute on Darby Street, to speak to the driver about the vehicle’s registration.
Police allege one of the car’s passengers dropped a small bag containing a crystallised substance – and that a search of the vehicle located a loaded pistol.
The driver of the vehicle was issued with a traffic infringement notice, while the 23 year old passenger, a member of the Nomads is facing a string of charges.
