After shining at rugby union’s New South Wales Country Championships at the weekend, two New England players have been selected for the Cockatoos side.
Back rower Ollie Bartlett will be joined by prop, Charlie French – while Central North’s Walcha-based centres Soni Halanukonaka and Simon Newton were also picked.
Meanwhile, 20-15 Tamworth Magpies captain Harry Veitch, now with Newcastle-side Hamilton, has been drafted into the training squad.
They’ll attend a training camp in Sydney in two weeks.
