ANOTHER SHOOTOUT LOSS FOR THE NORTH STARS

For the second week in a row, the North Stars have suffered a shootout loss at home – this time to Canberra.
Import Connor McLaughlin got Newcastle on the board, before the Brave equalised in the second period.
Canadian Brandon Wong then handed the advantage back to the home side.
“In! Stuffs it through and it’s 2-1!”
But the see-sawing continued, with Canberra scoring twice to hit the front.
Newcastle’s David Ferrari then grabbed his first career goal to make it three-all, but the North Stars couldn’t get the job done in the shootout.
