A man is in a critical condition after he was detained while allegedly attempting to shoplift on the Central Coast today.
Shortly after midday, police responded to reports that a man had been detained after allegedly trying to steal from an industrial equipment store on the Pacific Highway in Lisarow.
An altercation took place after the man was approached by staff.
Police found a man, believed to be in his 40’s, in a critical condition on arrival.
CPR was performed on the man until paramedics arrived.
He was taken to Gosford Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
Investigations continue.
