The Transport Safety Bureau is investigating after an elderly paraglider crashed into steep bushland at Merewether on Wednesday.
Emergency services walked down the cliff to assist the 75-year-old man.
He was airlifted to hospital with a collapsed lung, as well as rib, spine and pelvic fractures.
He’s listed in a stable condition.
