RIP ALFIE: AUSTRALIA’S OLDEST MAN DIES

Australia’s oldest man has passed away on the Central Coast, at the age of 110.
Last November, NBN News caught up with Alf Date as he celebrated his birthday at his Umina Beach nursing home.
The much-loved father of seven was born in 1905 and called Davistown home for more than 30 years.
He even made national headlines in 2015 by knitting jumpers for oil-spill affected penguins.
The avid football fan once joked that he owed his longevity, to ‘waking up every morning’.
