A man has had a lucky escape after his car hit a power pole, and crashed down an embankment just north of Clunes this afternoon.
The incident took place on Lismore-Bangalow Road just before 12:30, and saw live powerlines thrown across the busy road.
Traffic diversions were in place for several hours.
