A man has been threatened with a knife, during a robbery on the Gold Coast overnight.
About 4am on Saturday, a man and a woman were stopped in their car at the intersection of Surfers Paradise Boulevard and Clifford Street, when two men approached the vehicle.
The female passenger fled for help when the two men opened the car doors. The assailants then threatened the male driver with a knife before stealing property from him.
The 27-year-old driver was able to drive away during the robbery, but not before one of the men smashed a window.
The driver, from Surfers Paradise, was taken to hospital for treatment for minor injuries. The woman was uninjured.
Investigations are continuing.
