VOLUNTEER PATROL SEASON ENDS TOMORROW

Volunteer lifesavers at beaches across the Far North Coast will conduct their final patrols for the season tomorrow.

The region’s 1300 patrolling members have been kept busy throughout the summer months, performing 159 rescues and treating 290 injuries.

Council lifeguards will now continue to patrol a number of beaches throughout winter.
