‘UPSKIRTING’ INCIDENTS IN TAREE LEADS TO ARREST OF 63-YEAR-OLD

A 63-year-old man has been charged, accused of filming up women’s skirts in Taree.

Earlier this month police were called to a local shopping centre, after a woman reported being filmed by a man while she was changing in a cubicle.

Police claim CCTV from within the shopping centre shows the same man filming a number of other women with his phone.

Officers later attended a home on Bulga Road at Bobin where they spoke with a 63-year-old man.

A search allegedly uncovered multiple videos depicting women being filmed without consent. A number of cannabis plants were also seized.

The man was was charged with four counts of filming private parts without consent, and a number of drug offences.

He was given bail to appear in court on May 10.
