The death of a 47-year-old motorist at East Gosford marks the sixth death on NSW roads this long weekend.
The man died when his Falcon sedan hit a concrete barrier on York Street, shortly after 4:30 this morning.
Police believe fatigue to be a contributing factor in a number of incidents over the weekend, and are urging motorists to take regular breaks when driving long distances.
His death comes after five people we killed on NSW roads yesterday, three in one crash.
In another incident, a 22-year-old male driver has been charged with driving while suspended, after an incident at Adamstown Heights on Sunday morning.
Around 1:20am, police were conducting an RBT stop on City road, when they allegedly saw a vehicle attempting to avoid the RBT.
Shortly after, officers found the car on the Fernleigh Loop, which had struck a tree. The driver was taken to John Hunter Hospital with minor injuries. He was charged, and police are awaiting results of a blood test.
