POLICE REMIND PEOPLE TO BE RESPECTFUL THIS LONG WEEKEND

With the Anzac long weekend already underway, police are urging the community to enjoy the time with respect and safety in mind.

Police are concentrating their focus on local clubs and licensed premises across the mid north coast and northern rivers.

“By all means we like people to enjoy the festivities but just remember it is a day to reflect on the service men and women that fought for this country, so by all means enjoy yourself. We know people are going to play two-up and have a drink but we ask people do that responsibly.”

Meanwhile Operation Go Slow continues across the state until Monday evening, with police asking motorists to be cautious and take it easy on the roads.
