NEW DETAILS IN LEVEL CROSSING TRAGEDY ON MID-NORTH COAST
In a tragic twist, it has been revealed that the 30-year-old pregnant mother and her three daughters caught up in yesterday’s horrific collision on the Mid-North Coast were on the verge of a new beginning.
The family were preparing to move to the area and start a new life, before their car was hit at a level crossing without warning signals.
Two young girls, aged two and seven, remain in John Hunter Hospital this morning, as hospital staff decline to comment on their conditions.
The Australian Rail Track Corporation have released a statement saying they will not make any comments until the investigation into the incident is complete.
Tonight, we speak to locals affected by the tragedy.
