CULTURAL WALK IN PORT MACQUARIE CBD
Port Macquarie will come alive with art, culture and history tomorrow night, as part of Heritage Week.
The ‘Art Walk’ will see a trail of local work on display in shops, restaurants and streets throughout the CBD.
“We’re going to display 5 artists on the night, and it will give five local people the opportunity to have an exhibition, and have a place in town,” Summer shop owner Katrina Barker said.
The event coincides with the nightly ‘Portraits of Memory’ exhibition, which is projected onto the walls of the Historical Courthouse
“That was a project that was developed through the Anzac centenary arts and culture fund, working with local community members – sharing mementos and objects of their family,” Port Macquarie-Hastings Council’s Skye Frost said.
