Bakers put their best buns and loaves forward in Newcastle today, at the Baking Association’s annual show.
Judges tasted their way through 34 different categories…including pastries, cakes and artisan bread.
“We look for the same sort of aroma, texture, taste in all of them but they have different characteristics”, says judge Dean Tilden.
Bread winners took home some silverware…and bragging rights.
