Meantime Lismore Council’s Koala Plan of Management will go out on public exhibition after a rescission motion to abandon the draft was voted down at last night’s council meeting six votes to five.
Several councillors opposed the draft plan, calling it an extra layer of bureacuracy on top of current State regulations.
But the exhibition period will continue to give the public a chance to have their say.
