WEATHER: HEAVENS OPEN UP OVER THE GOLD COAST
This morning was a wash on the Gold Coast with an incredible 42mm falling in 40 minutes and within 3 hours half of Aprils average rainfall had been accumulated. Most of the rain came down as everyone was leaving to go to work. Some of the rain but no where near as heavy fell across the border into NE NSW. The Central Coast also saw a couple of early morning storms move through but by the time they reached Newcastle they had all but died. The coast was partly cloudy today but many areas experienced lengthy sunny periods. Tomorrow the coastal cloud will build and another burst of scattered showers will track north along the coast during the day. Inland across the NW it will remain fine.
