A former Armidale Catholic priest who’s pleaded guilty to scores of child sex offences has had his sentencing hearing adjourned.
62- year- old John Joseph Farrell, also known as ‘Father F’, abused nine altar boys and three girls at Moree and Taree in the early 1980s.
Graphic and emotional victim impact statements were read today in Sydney District Court.
Farrell was due to be sentenced over 62 charges, however Judge Peter Zahra dropped four charges and adjourned the hearing until May 2.
