FARM LINK DEVELOP NEW MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAM

He’s faced plenty of tough times on the footy field, but on Monday, former NRL star Nathan Blacklock opened up about his biggest challenge.
The ex-league player joined members of Tamworth’s indigenous community, along with health care workers, for a pilot suicide prevention program.
It’s being developed by Farm-Link, specifically for Aboriginal communities.
“I’ve been through depression and I’ve been to the lowest point in my life and I just don’t want to see other kids go through that because it’s not the best path.”
Studies show Aboriginal men and women are more likely to commit suicide.
If you or someone you know needs help, you can call Lifeline on 13 11 14.
