COFFS HARBOUR MAN LOSES EYE IN ONE-PUNCH ATTACK

A 38-year-old man has lost the use of his eye following a one-punch attack in Coffs Harbour.

Police say the incident occurred while Dion Marr Jr, a father of seven, was waiting for a taxi on Grafton Street on Sunday morning.

He underwent surgery for serious facial injuries, but doctors were unable to save his left eye.

Mr Marr’s cousin, Markeeta Marr has set up a Go Fund Me page hoping to raise $5000 for his rehabilitation and to support his family.

A 22-year-old man has been charged over the assault.
