MAN SLASHED IN THE NECK IN WARNERS BAY GLASSING

A 24-year-old man has suffered serious lacerations to his neck, after allegedly being struck with a glass during an altercation at Lake Macquarie last night.
Around 10pm, police responded to reports of an assault at a pub on John Street, Warners Bay.
On arrival, officers found a 24-year-old man from Belmont South with severe lacerations to the neck.
He was taken to John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition. It is believed he is now stable.
A 19-year-old man has since been charged with reckless wounding.
